The theft and police pursuit happened back on March 13, 2022, after Chatman was spotted on surveillance video stealing the yellow Chevy Camaro from a car business on East Little Creek Road.

When an officer spotted Chatman, he sped off the wrong way down Sewell’s Point Road at speeds over 75 mph. The pursuit was eventually called off due to the dangers involved, but police were able to catch Chatman after the vehicle fishtailed and crashed into parked cars at a different dealership.

As part of his sentence, Chatman also has to have two years of post-release supervision.
