Man jailed on sexual exploitation of a minor charges after North Myrtle Beach police search his computer

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A man was jail on several sexual exploitation of a minor charges after authorities found child pornography that was traced back to his North Myrtle Beach residence, according to a police report.

Michael Lee Prince was charged with five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

North Myrtle Beach police conducted a search warrant at Prince’s S. Ocean Boulevard residence on April 11, according to the report. Prince admitted he had “numerous” illicit images of children on a desktop computer in his living room.

Detectives searched the computer as well as three cellphones, according to the report, which said the search of the computer corroborated Prince’s statements.

Prince was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on April 16, online records show. He was released on April 17 on a $25,000 bond.
