Man dead after motorcycle crash in Independence on 24 Highway
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Independence on Wednesday evening.
Police said the crash happened Wednesday around 4:45 p.m. on US 24 Highway at Grand Avenue.
Two suspects now in custody in connection to Blue Springs deadly shooting
According to police, the man driving the motorcycle was attempting to pull out into traffic from a parking lot when he crashed into a flatbed trailer being pulled by a truck.
The driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike, resulting in serious, life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver was wearing an approved motorcycle helmet.
The driver of the truck was not hurt and the crash remains under investigation.
