Man charged with invasion of privacy in Chesterfield, accused of filming undressed victims
CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – A man accused of secretly filming victims as they undressed inside their homes now faces felony charges in a Chesterfield invasion of privacy case.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Suraj Sharad Shah, 39, with four counts of attempted invasion of privacy amid the investigation.
Charges stem from an incident reported on April 23 at a Chesterfield home, according to a news release from the Chesterfield Police Department.

Investigators say a woman called police to report that her RING camera alerted to motion in the back of her home. The woman reviewed the footage and told police that an unknown man was using some type of light and trying to look through her window.
Police responded to the home shortly after the call and later identified Shah as a suspect.
In an interview that followed his arrest, Shah told police that he videotaped multiple people in various stages of being undressed or nude. Shah used his cellphone to record videos of victims without their knowledge or consent, according to the news release.

Shah is now jailed in the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $150,000 bond.
