Man charged after allegedly stabbing person in neck in Henry County

CLINTON, Mo. — A 38-year-old Calhoun, Missouri man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing a person in the neck in Henry County.

Henry County Prosecutor Lachrisha Gray has charged Manuel Hilario with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

According to court records, just before 3:20 a.m. Henry County deputies responded to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital after a victim was brought into the emergency room with two stab wounds to the neck.

After brief questioning from the Clinton Police Department, it was learned that the stabbing happened in the 500 block of West 4th Street in Calhoun.

Deputies began investigating and learned that the suspect lived across the street from the victim’s house.

The victim of the stabbing is listed in critical condition at a Kansas City hospital after undergoing surgery.

Hilario was taken into custody and booked into the Henry County jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.
