Man arrested for alleged supermarket retail theft

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing $300 worth of meat at Bravo Supermarket.

According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, on Thursday around 4:00 p.m., officers were called to Bravo Supermarket on Sout Main Street for a report of a retail theft.

Once on the scene, officers said a 30-year-old man from Wilkes-Barre had removed $300 worth of meat products without paying them.

Police arrested the suspect and during a search, they said the suspect had various narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was taken to City headquarters, fingerprinted, and released.
