Man, 84, found dead in pond at Bronx golf course: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — An 84-year-old man was found dead in a pond in a Bronx golf course on Friday, authorities said.

Officers found the unconscious man floating in the water at the Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Courses at 870 Shore Rd. at around 2 p.m., according to the NYPD. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was unclear how the man died or how long he was in the pond. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
