“Southbound uses the center lane, [and] northbound uses the right lane,” CHP added.

In images posted to social media on Friday, CHP shows Highway 70, just north of Highway 99, partially blocked by at least two vehicles and plenty of trash that appears to have fallen out of some of the vehicles filling the roadway.

It has not been made clear what caused the crash, but CHP said it is working to clean up the debris.
