Local man arrested on Internet Child Exploitation charges

(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — On April 4, 2024, around 6 a.m., 23-year-old Shane Michael Anderson was arrested by the Fountain Police Department (FPD) after an investigation of Internet Child Exploitation.

FPD said Anderson was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center (CJC) on the following charges: Sexual Exploitation of Children-Distribution of Material (Felony 3) and Sexual Exploitation of Children-Video, Moving Visual Images, Motion Picture (Felony 4).

Anderson is being held at the CJC with no bond. Detectives with FPD are asking the public to help locate any additional witnesses or victims who have information about this case. If you have any information, please call Detective Tori Slater at (719) 382-4288.
