Despite some controversy, Ozempic has become pervasive in the entertainment industry. Tracy Morgan, however, has managed to beat the drug at its own game. During a Tuesday night appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 30 Rock star admitted Ozempic hasn’t had the intended effect on his weight.

“I’ve learned to out-eat Ozempic. I out-ate Ozempic,” Morgan announced, before revealing, “I’ve gained 40 pounds.

“I’m like Magic Johnson,” he joked. “I gained 40 pounds.”

Ozempic is the brand name for semaglutide, which mimics the release of a hormone in the gastrointestinal tract which reduces blood glucose and curbs food cravings.

Morgan has previously been upfront about his Ozempic use, telling Today back in August that the daily injections “cut my appetite in half. I only eat half a bag of Doritos…Yeah. I take Ozempic. Every Thursday," he added nonchalantly.

"That's how this weight got lost," he said as the hosts guffawed. "I went and got a prescription and I got Ozempic. And I ain't letting it go!"

Other actors and comedians, such as Chelsea Handler, Sharon Osbourne, and 50 Cent, have admitted to dabbling with Ozempic. But apparently, Morgan isn't finding the same success with the medication that he was last summer. Luckily, he has a simple routine that keeps him fit amidst injections.

“I get up at seven every morning, and I’m in the gym at 10,” he told Today of his exercise regimen. “Then I go back to sleep. And that’s my life.”
