Trump hypocritically calls out NATO allies

On Feb. 12, Donald Trump told the world that the United States would not defend NATO allies if they have not paid the money they are supposed to pay to be in the alliance.

If one reads the investigation conducted by USA TODAY and posted on June 9, 2016, you will see that Mr. Donald Trump has stiffed (‘not paid’) hundreds and hundreds of people and organizations and has been sued over and over for not paying his own bills. Even his attorneys have not been paid.

So, when Trump claims that the United States will not go to bat for NATO allies, I say this: Trump should not be given any benefits in this society for not paying his bills. He should be sent to the IRS, and he needs to go to jail for tax evasion. He should never, and I mean never, be allowed to be president of the United States.

Unfortunately, so many people are listening to him and taking what he says as fact, and these so-called “MAGA” people have made me “GAGA.” Enjoy your day and pay your bills.

Readers don't hold back: Letters: Perdido Bay is a lifeless disaster yet government continues to look the other way

GOP says one thing, numbers say another

When I listen to Republicans running for office, they all are saying the same thing. People are out of work, prices are way up, the country is going to the proverbial hand basket. Yet as I read the News Journal on Feb. 23, the lead headline says 75 percent of businesses plan on growing their workforce, with 24 percent saying they will stay static and one percent saying they plan to reduce their workforce.

Further on the PNJ reads, the area grew by 10,800 jobs and we are on track to add 8,800 more by 2029. On page 6A of the same edition, there was an AP article titled, “Fewer Americans file for unemployment.” In the article it states that U S. employers added a stunning 353,000 new jobs in January. That jump followed a 333,000 boom in new jobs in December.

The unemployment rate is at 3.7% and has been below four percent for 24 months for the first time since the 1960s. Someone is lying. The numbers are there so where are these conservative politicians getting their information? My guess is the Republicans get theirs from the great “Q”.

‘Billionaire’ Trump in need of bailout

I’m issuing a clarion call to all MAGA Republicans. First for those well-regulated Trump militias being necessary to the security of a free state, stand back and stand by in case we need Second Amendment remedies. I only ask that you ease up on buying rifle bullets, so I have plenty for next hunting season.

Secondly, since Trump is a fake billionaire, he requires our financial help and support. As a result of the New York fraud and E.J. Carroll sexual assault cases, Trump needs some serious cash, like $500-plus million, and soon. Sadly, he had to use $50-plus million in PAC money for lawyers, leaving only $27 million available in the pot. Since he’s done everything perfectly, this amounts to election interference, pure and simple.

I urge you to go online and purchase the new Chinese-made Trump golden sneakers for the modest price of $399.99. Think of it as an investment potentially worth more than a pair of 1998 Air Jordan’s very soon. Additionally, buy a three-ounce bottle of Trump Victory 47 cologne for only $99.99. You’re going to love the way you smell. I guarantee it.

And remember no refunds are ever allowed and Trump products never come with free shipping.

What does GOP have against fair taxes?

Am I the only one who is totally confused by the Republicans continuing demand that we do something about the budget deficit while at the same time they want to disband the IRS so that their wealthy benefactors can continue to not pay their fair share of the cost of running our country?

These are the same people who want the taxpayers to not only pay for public schools but also expect them to pay for the private schools for their children. For some inexplicable reason, the Republicans cannot fathom that all Americans should pay their share of supporting and growing our nation and that the role of the IRS is to make sure this happens fairly. Why are Republicans so indignant that the ability to collect taxes fairly, which should benefit the whole country, should be crippled by not funding the agency that is tasked with doing just that?

Who are they trying to protect from paying their fair share?

Hear from our readers: Letters: Joe Biden is offering true ‘country-first’ policies; Donald Trump is too unhinged

Joe Biden is destroying America

If only I could talk to the president! I am not a Neanderthal, Mr. President. I am a realist. Climate does change. You and many others say science is everything, well you don’t believe science when it comes to gender identity, but we will discuss that another time because I know it is hard for you to concentrate on more than one thing at a time.

Scientists say, “The earth’s climate went through [and still goes through] cycles of extreme cold and warm periods.” They say we had an “ice age”. I assure you, Mr. President, God will decide what happens to this earth. No matter how much you cripple the United States by destroying our oil and gas industry, it will not make a difference in the weather. Doing so will only allow terrorist nations to supply energy to the world.

In doing this, Mr. President, you make them rich, which makes them powerful! In the end, Mr. President, you’re destroying America.

Hatred of Trump only serves an ill purpose

This is in response to Charles Creel’s letter published on the March 3 Opinion page. I hope Charles is sincere about going back to church, because we need everyone to help fight the evil that is rapidly growing in our world. Satan is trying to divide us, to hate each other, because if we are united, we cannot be broken. If we truly have God in our hearts, we cannot have hatred. Hatred is an emotion that literally makes my stomach churn, and I can’t be the only person affected like this.

Anyone with hatred in their heart might want to look at what is causing this. There are a lot of Trump haters, but can these hate-filled people explain why they hate Trump so much? Does it make sense to have someone you don’t even know live in your head 24/7? For those God-loving people, try asking God to take away these negative feelings and fill your life with love, happiness, joy and gratitude. Negative feelings are exactly what Satan wants you to have. They serve absolutely no good purpose and can also lead to destructive behavior.

I will pray for Charles and others who may have lost their way to become reacquainted with our savior. We are all sinners. Have a little empathy for your neighbor because he is doing the best he can.

Biden’s presidency has been a disaster

Lie as they may, the DNC/liberals/enemies foreign and domestic cannot change the past. During Trump's presidency prior to COVID we had a secure border, a roaring economy being freed of government overreach, a beginning to provide proper and promised services to veterans, worldwide peace, energy independence, virtually no inflation, the highest minority employment (especially for Blacks), strong military, the Abraham Accords, and safe streets with no explosion of crime or homelessness. Trump's only major mistake was not cleaning house of the Swamp of Democrat political saboteur bureaucrats.

During Biden's presidency, post COVID and post COVID recovery, we’ve had a deliberately opened border enabling an influx of terrorists, fentanyl, freeloaders, and disease all for the purposes of establishing a one-party political structure and to sell the Chinese Communist Party our safety and way of life; energy dependence on our enemies; a dangerously weakened military; wars in the Middle East and Ukraine and greatly intensified threats to Taiwan; the worst inflation since the Great Depression; a doubling of homelessness; most major cities becoming unsafe for their citizens; the ability of the average American to buy a home; our international stature reduced to a laughing stock, the Constitution attacked from multiple directions (pack the Supreme Court, end the filibuster, weaponization of the DOJ, FBI, CDC, and other bureaucracies); attacks on citizen rights to elect national leaders; and an obviously corrupt and probably treasonous First Family.

I'm sure I missed a few little Biden administration picadilloes. It's difficult to keep track of them all.
