According to the Transportation Security Administration, "TSA security officers do not search for marijuana or other illegal drugs, but if any illegal substance is discovered during security screening, TSA will refer the matter to a law enforcement officer."

Medical marijuana cannot be obtained in Florida with a medical marijuana card from out of state, according to the medical cannabis network My Florida Green.

That means it's also illegal to use medical marijuana obtained legally in another state while visiting Florida and users can face criminal repercussions for possession.

Possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis is a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum sentence of 1 year imprisonment and a maximum fine of $1,000, according to Florida state statute.
