Lee GOP to host political discussion with Tito Ortiz, Roger Stone, and Madison Cawthorn

The Lee County GOP is hosting a political discussion featuring UFC fighter Tito Ortiz, political lightning rod Roger Stone, and former Congressman Madison Cawthorn.

The discussion will touch on national and state politics, and many other issues, according to the press release sent out March 27.

The event is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. April 6 at the Word of Life Church, 6111 South Pointe Blvd., Fort Myers.

Who's who and what's their connection to Southwest Florida?

Tito Ortiz, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and Hall of Famer, owns Tito’s Cantina in Cape Coral.

After relocating from Huntington Beach, California, his family and he have called the city home since December 2022.

Former North Carolina U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn purchased a $1 million Cape Coral home in November 2022.

Cawthorn catapulted to the spotlight during the 2020 election, becoming the youngest member of the U.S. House at the time of the election before losing his primary and seat in 2022.

He has since relocated as a full-time resident.

Political consultant Roger Stone is a longtime adviser and ally to former President Donald Trump.

He made an appearance during Trump's visit to Fort Myers in April 2023.

Constitutional attorney and talk show host David Pollack and political reporter Neil McCabe will also participate in the discussion.
