Kutztown Lions, district foundation create scholarship endowment

Apr. 28—The Kutztown Lions Club has donated $25,000 to the Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation to establish the Kutztown Lions Club Endowment fund, which will provide an annual scholarship to a graduating Kutztown High School student who will attend Kutztown University.

The club has provided an annual scholarship as part of its annual community giving program. Through this investment, student support will now continue well into the foreseeable future and beyond, according to club officials.

"The Kutztown Lions Club enriches the Kutztown community in a wide variety of ways," club President Matt Dietrich said. "Through this

fund we are able to provide a student with new opportunities that might not have been attainable otherwise."
