It's no secret that New Jersey's quite popular during the summer season.

And according to new list by the finance website, Insider Monkey, there are 19 most densely populated states and New Jerseys ranks at the number one spot.

Tell us something that we don't know.

This new list pulled data from the US Census Bureau using average population per square mile and economic growth per capita for each state to complete the ranking.

Here are the findings from the finance magazine:

New Jersey

  • Population per Square Mile: 1,263.0

  • GDP per Capita: $80,484

"New Jersey is among the most densely populated states in the US, with 1,263 people per square mile or 343 people per square kilometer. This high population density is attributed to its position within the Northeast megalopolis, with urban hubs like Newark and Jersey City attracting residents. New Jersey’s economy thrives on a diverse base, with finance, pharmaceuticals, and transportation (major ports and airports) being powerhouses."
