Ice Cream Rescue raises money for Pine City Volunteer FD

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — Throughout the rest of the week, people can visit the Ice Cream Rescue truck to enjoy ice cream and raise money for the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department.

Ice Cream Rescue is an ice cream truck affiliated with Firehouse Subs, and Co-Owner Gregory Davis says he wants to make an impact on the community by giving back to fire departments.

“The fire departments in our local environment are important for everybody around. They’re the ones that first respond to our houses, and those are the companies that need help, those are the people that put their lives on the line. So, the least we could do is give back to them.”

The truck is open at Kent’s Auto Body on Pennsylvania Ave in Elmira from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day through Saturday. They donate 15% of its sales, including tips and donations towards the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department.
