Superior Court Judge James Ammons addressed the students at the event, emphasizing the legal ramifications of possessing and consuming alcohol, as well as driving under the influence, the release said. “This month is an opportunity for parents to talk to teens about drinking and to equip them with the knowledge to handle situations involving alcohol," Hope Mills Police Chief Stephen Dollinger said in the release. "Teens who would not normally consume alcohol may be tempted to drink in certain social situations. Parents and trusted adults can play a meaningful role in shaping these decisions.”
