Home catches fire in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Crews with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were on the scene of a two-alarm fire at a home in Burke, Va. on Wednesday morning.

In a post made on X, formerly Twitter, just before 9:15 a.m., officials said the fire happened at a home in the 10300 block of Pond Spice Terrace.

Father, child shot in Northeast DC

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and prevent any major spread into nearby homes.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said that everyone inside the home was accounted for and no one was injured.

There were no reported firefighter or civilian injuries.
