Holy Week 2024: Find Stations of the Cross services at Baton Rouge churches on Good Friday
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Are you Looking to attend a Stations of the Cross service at one of these local churches in Baton Rouge? Several will be offered in the capital city on Friday, March 29, as the Lenten season comes to a close on Easter Sunday.
Holy Week begins on Sunday, March 24, with Palm Sunday. Stations of the Cross services will be held on Good Friday, which falls on Friday, March 29, in 2024.
Brittanica states that the Stations of the Cross service is “a devotional exercise of visiting and praying in front of each of the 14 stations and meditating on the Passion of Christ stems from the practice of early Christian pilgrims who visited the scenes in Jerusalem.”
