High Desert Astronomical Society to host public telescope viewing in Apple Valley

Local astronomy enthusiasts are inviting the public to peer into the depths of the universe during a public observation night on Friday.

The High Desert Astronomical Society will be hosting the event, which is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. at the Luz Observatory at the Apple Valley Center for Innovation, 20702 Thunderbird Road in Apple Valley, organizers said.

"Come explore the cosmos with us as we view various different objects in space through the telescopes housed inside the Luz Observatory," HiDAS representatives said in a public invitation.
