Here's where you can find food trucks in Bloomington on eclipse weekend

Food trucks will be out in force April 5 through April 8 in Bloomington — as part of activities celebrating the total solar eclipse that will darken the afternoon skies on April 8.

Jordan Davis coordinates Food Truck Friday and shared where most of Bloomington's food trucks will be during that busy weekend. He said that although the first Food Truck Friday is usually the first Friday of April, it's been delayed until April 12 because of the cold weather expected on April 5.

Still food trucks Friday on April 5

Even though there won't be Food Truck Friday on April 5, several will be part of the city's eclipse activities 5-9 p.m. Friday at Switchyard Park, 1601 S. Rogers St. Food vendors who will be open during those hours include Planted Bloomington, Elli-May's Smoked BBQ, Kebab on Wheels, Arepa Burger and Bloom Burger.

Bloomington officials anticipate hundreds if not thousands of people to visit for the eclipse, beginning on Friday and the city has scheduled Total Eclipse of the Brain, a solar eclipse trivia night, to run 7-9 p.m. in the Switchyard Park Pavilion, adjacent to where the food trucks will be.
