Here's a list of government offices closed for Good Friday and Easter

Some local government offices will be closed, while other government services will continue in Fayetteville and Cumberland County on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Fayetteville

The Fayetteville Police Department

  • The front lobby and records unit of the police headquarters at 467 Hay St. are closed on Friday.

  • Police ask that suspicious activity and emergencies be reported to 911. People can still file police reports online and send anonymous tips to CrimeStoppers by calling 910-483-4877 or visiting p3tips.com.

Solid Waste Division

  • Garbage, yard waste and recycling are being collected on Friday.

Fayetteville Regional Airport

  • Airport administrative offices are closed on Friday.

Fayetteville Area System of Transit

  • FAST is operational on a regular schedule Friday and Saturday. No buses are running Easter Sunday.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation

  • Administrative offices are closed on Friday.

  • Recreation Centers are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Good Friday with parks, trails and green space remaining open to the public.

Cumberland County

Libraries

  • All public library branches in the county are open until 6 p.m. on Thursday. The libraries are closed Friday through Sunday.

Animal Services

  • Animal Services is closed Friday through Sunday with no adoption hours on Saturday.

  • All after-hour animal emergencies can be reported to Cumberland County Emergency Services at 910-323-1141 or 911.

Solid Waste

  • The Ann Street Landfill and all Solid Waste container sites are closed Friday. Those sites reopen for regular hours on Saturday.
