Here's the Best Leaked Photos Yet of the 2017 Porsche Panamera

From Road & Track

The 2017 Porsche Panamera might just be the worst-kept secret in the automotive world right now. We've already seen leaked images, watched test mules lapping the Nürburgring, and we know all about its new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. The updated Panamera makes its official debut on June 28, but some apparently leaked photos hit the internet today, giving us the best look yet at Porsche's new four-door.

We're not entirely sure where these images come from, but they were first published to Motor1 Thursday afternoon. One was watermarked with social media handle @Cars01. Searches for that handle on all of the major social media platforms haven't turned up any results, but various Instagram users have re-posted the images to their own accounts.

The car pictured appears to be a Panamera Turbo and as such, it borrows styling cues from the new 991.2-generation 911 Turbo. Porsche retained the old Panamera's silhouette, but gave the car more 911-like taillights and rear graphics. This new shape also leaves room for the Panamera wagon that's set to arrive next year with a larger cargo area.

Unfortunately, there are no wide shots of the interior, but one picture reveals that the traditional Porsche gauges have been replaced by two digital screens flanking the trademark center-mounted analog tachometer. The image shows virtual gauges on the screen that mimic the five analog dials that have become a Porsche tradition.

So far, we like what we see, and if its as quick as Porsche says it will be, we may have a new sports sedan king. We'll find out all the details on the 2017 Panamera next week.
