Henderson police investigate deadly crash in far east valley
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A rider died, and a passenger was injured after a crash involving a motorcycle Thursday.
The collision occurred on Thursday at approximately 8:30 p.m. near Galleria Drive north of Dave Wood Circle when a motorcycle struck a curb and threw both the rider and the passenger from the vehicle. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger was taken to an area hospital. Officials describe that person’s injuries as non-life-threatening.
Officials say speed and impairment are not suspected to be factors in the crash, although police said the official findings have yet to be determined.
The motorcyclist’s death represents the ninth accident-related fatality of 2024, Henderson Police officials said. Anyone with information but wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or via the organization’s website.
