Greenbrier West High School principal resigns, Greenbrier Schools Superintendent announces retirement

LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) — On the agenda for a special meeting of the Greenbrier County Board of Education on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, the principal of Greenbrier West High School resigned, and Greenbrier County Schools Superintendent Jeffrey Bryant announced his retirement.

Adam Young, the head principal at Greenbrier West High School, will resign on June 30, 2024, based on the meeting agenda.

Superintendent Bryant’s retirement begins at the end of the business day on March 29, 2024, according to the meeting agenda.

Bryant, the former principal of Greenbrier East High School, has served as superintendent since 2016. He was the band director at Greenbrier East High for 16 years.

Seasonal price uptick at the pump

Associate Superintendent Doug Clemons asked for the board to approve the personnel agenda, which included Young’s resignation and Bryant’s retirement.
