Under the Virginia Code §2.2-3310.1, all agencies and institutions of the Commonwealth should display the POW/MIA flag on all public buildings. This is to recognize and remember members who are or were prisoners of war or still missing in action.

All flags will remain in position until noon.

“We remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price while serving our country,” said Gov. Youngkin in a release.
