Gov. Healey to speak at UMass Chan Medical School commencement in June

WORCESTER — UMass Chan Medical School has announced that Gov. Maura T. Healey is speaker for the school's 51st commencement.

The governor will address the Class of 2024 June 2 and receive a Chancellor's Medal.

Healey, the 73rd governor of Massachusetts, is the first woman and first LGBTQ+ person elected to the post.

Last year's speaker was Katie Couric.
