GJPD responds to felony menacing incident

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Saturday, Grand Junction Police officers responded to a report of an individual being threatened with a crowbar.

Officers received the report shortly before midnight. After the incident, the suspect left the scene; he was later found near the 2800 block of North Avenue where he refused to cooperate with law enforcement.

Daniel Sanders, 29, was taken into custody on charges of felony menacing and obstructing a peace officer.

The GJPD believes this to be an isolated incident with no danger to the community. The incident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
