Girl, man hurt in broad daylight shooting in Southwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a girl and a man were hurt in a shooting in Southwest D.C. on Sunday afternoon.

MPD said crews found the two near the intersection of South Capitol Street and Macdill Boulevard Southwest.

They were both taken to the hospital while conscious and breathing.

Man shot in Northwest DC

Detectives were still working to determine where the shooting itself happened but confirmed it was not on the Anacostia-Bolling Air Force base.

Whether the shooting happened nearby, however, is yet to be confirmed.
