Fresno Pacific gets $25K grant for therapy services in Reedley

REEDLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Eligible individuals in Reedley will have more access to therapy services after a grand by the Sierra Kings Health Care District to the on-site Counseling Center at the Fresno Pacific University.

The On-Site Counseling Center at Fresno Pacific University (OSCC) is partnering with the West Coast Mennonite Central Committee Global Center, which will supply office space in its building at 1012 G Street in Reedley, according to Fresno Pacific officials.

Fresno Pacific officials announced an awarded grant of $25,000 by the Sierra Kings Health Care District to support therapy services for eligible individuals in Reedley.

The center offers educational, art, and relief programming as well as a social space to provide opportunities to learn about MCC and participate in its global relief work.

The grant will also fund three training sessions for community organizations in Reedley, focusing on the impact of trauma on children and families, according to officials.

We’re excited to expand our reach in Reedley and partner with SKHCD to provide therapy services to the community. This is a very encouraging opportunity,” said Angela Turner, M.A., director of OSCC.

This grant will be effective from July 1 to June 30, 2025.
