Former Oklahoma teacher pleads guilty to sexually abusing child

STILLWELL, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Stilwell man has pleaded guilty and admitted to sexually abusing a child, according to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Lawrence Fourkiller, 47, admitted that between August 2020 and May 2021, he knowingly caused a child to engage in a sexual act while employed at Stilwell Elementary School.

Former OK teacher indicted on child sex abuse charges

The release says the crimes took place in Adair County within the boundaries of the Cherokee Nation Reservation.

The charges arose from the FBI and the Stilwell Police Department.

Fourkiller will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending sentencing, according to the release.
