Ford Unveils Dallas Cowboys F-150 Limited Edition Truck for Fans

This week, Ford announced that it is honoring its role in Texas as the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys team’s official truck for two decades by introducing a limited-edition special Cowboys 2016 F-150 large pickup with Cowboys badging, logo, and enhancements. Only 400 of these trucks that are painted in Cowboys helmet silver will be sold at selected Texas Ford dealerships. The Cowboys’ fan truck will list for a suggested $41,925.

Ford reports that Texas is the largest truck market in the country and the F-Series is the top-volume truck in the state. Ford also has celebrated its ongoing relationship with Texas with special King Ranch Edition models, among others.

The F-150 Dallas Cowboys Edition, which rides on 20-in. wheels with Cowboy star center caps, is the first Cowboys Edition in 22 years, according to a Ford official. It starts with the Ford F-150 trim level with chrome package and adds unique features including Cowboy Edition star badging on the front doors and tailgate and blue-white rocker panel stripes.

In addition, the truck features a molded heavy-duty cargo bed mat with Cowboys star logo. Inside the cabin are laser-etched chrome foot plates featuring Cowboys-themed front doors and Cowboys logos stitched on the front and rear floor mats. Each of the 400 numbered trucks will also include an interior badge autographed by Jerry Jones, owner, president, and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys.

The sale of the 400 F-150 Cowboys Limited Edition trucks also coincides with the start of the Cowboys’ 57th football season, and the opening of the Ford Center at The Star, in Frisco, TX, which is the Cowboys’ new headquarters and includes a training facility, 12,000-seat indoor stadium, and practice fields for the team players and for athletic use by the local area high school. The Frisco facility is 25 miles from the domed 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys play.
