The Ford Fiesta subcompact is soon to make its exit from the U.S. market, with production officially ending next May as part of Ford’s grand plan to nix nearly all of its car nameplates and focus on trucks and SUVs. For its final 2019 model year, Ford is democratizing the ST treatment-sort of-by introducing an ST-Line trim level for the hatchback with a bevy of appearance tweaks to spice things up a bit.

There aren’t any mechanical changes for the ST-Line, but it does at least come standard with a five-speed manual transmission, with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission being a $1095 option. These transmission choices mate with the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder found across the rest of the Fiesta range, with a meager 120 hp and 112 lb-ft of torque.

The Fiesta ST and its turbocharged 1.6-liter four with 197 hp and 201 lb-ft of torque will surely still be the enthusiast’s choice due to its vastly more fun-to-drive nature, but the ST-Line does come in significantly cheaper to start. Its base price of $18,500, $3715 less than the real ST, includes a fair amount of standard equipment, including a Sync 3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Ford says that 2019 Fiestas will be on sale by this October, so get ‘em while you still can, as they won’t be around for long.
