Fire breaks out at Woolworth’s building in downtown Bakersfield

EDITOR’S NOTE: This story has been updated to clarify details of the incident.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County Firefighters raced to reports of a structure fire at the Woolworth’s building Saturday afternoon.

The fire was located in the third floor of the building in downtown Bakersfield. The extent of damage was not immediately known.

No injuries were reported. Officials said they are investigating what caused the fire.
