Ferrari GTC4Lusso T: Here It Is In All Its V8-Powered, RWD Glory

From Road & Track

We loved the oddball Ferrari FF, and we're big fans of its successor, the GTC4Lusso. With four-seats, all-wheel-drive, and a glorious naturally aspirated V12, there isn't a single car like it on the market. Now, Ferrari's expanding the GTC4Lusso family with a wildly different variant.

The car you see above may look like the GTC4Lusso we know, but it's actually the GTC4Lusso T, which ditches its V12 for a twin-turbo V8 sending its power to the rear wheels. Ferrari revealed the GTC4Lusso T on Thursday, but it makes its real-life debut at the Paris Auto Show later this month.

Its 3.9-liter V8 is shared with the California T and 488 GTB and makes a little over 600 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque in this spec. That's around 80 horsepower less than the V12-powered Lusso, but an increase of 134 lb-ft of torque.

Factor in a significant weight savings from ditching the V12's all-wheel-drive setup, and the GTC4Lusso T should be nearly as fast as its big brother. The GTC4Lusso T also gets Ferrari's ever-impressive four-wheel-steering and Side Slip Control, so it should be fairly nimble too.

The GTC4Lusso T might not have a screaming V12 or all-weather traction, but it'll surely be an interesting addition to the Ferrari lineup. We can't wait to drive it.
