CAMBRIDGE − The Guernsey County Fairgrounds announced big plans for the area this summer. A music festival, the likes of which Guernsey County hasn't seen for quite some time, will take over the area in July.

The three-day-long festival will be July 18-20 at the Guernsey County fairgrounds. Dubbed the Old Washington Music Fest, the event lineup includes Travis Tritt, the Marshall Tucker Band, Craig Morgan, Hunter Hayes and Lanco.

The list of acts continues with well-known artists like Collin Raye, Little Texas, War Hippies, Buddy Jewell, Ray Scott, Hoard & Jones, Jake Binegar, and the Silver Stallion Highwaymen Tribute. The Highwaymen, often referred to as a country music supergroup, was composed of some of the biggest outlaw country names of the time: Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson.

The Old Washington Music Fest will be held July 18-20 at the Guernsey County fairgrounds in Old Washington.

With the announcement of the Blame My Roots Festival transitioning into the Dutton family-hosted Ranch Night & BBQ, and the bygone days of Jamboree in the Hills, the Old Washington Music Fest feeds the desire for the area to host large-scale outdoor music events.

Bringing the talent into the area is Big Time Entertainment LLC, an Ohio-based promotion and entertainment company, that regularly books big-name artists across the region.

Tickets start at $75 for a one-day pass or $175 for a weekend pass. The fee for a weekend camping pass will be $125. Coolers are allowed. For more information about the festival or to purchase tickets call 615-946-4697.
