The Bachelor Video: Joey Reveals When He Knew Kelsey Was the One — And the Dream He Had About Her
The Bachelor’s Joey started out with 32 women to choose from this season — but now he only has eyes for one.
Joey handed his final rose to Kelsey in this week’s season finale, with the two getting engaged (read our full finale recap here), and in a new video interview, TVLine asks him: At what point in the season did he start to think that Kelsey could be the one?

“There’s been so many little moments,” Joey says in the video above. Their trip to the Spanish city of Ronda “was a huge one for us, having our first one-on-one,” he adds. “I think that was the first time that I knew something was building, that was possibly going to be a forever.”
He and Kelsey got even closer on their trip to Jasper and during hometown dates, but “the final moment,” Joey recalls, “was her meeting my family. When that kind of went perfect and they thought she was ready and understood what I was seeing, I was like, ‘OK, I think this is it.'” He also points out “that’s why everyone saw my demeanor change towards Daisy on those last couple of dates.”
But Joey’s unconscious mind seemed to be drawn to Kelsey from the very beginning: He had a dream about her the night they met! “It was something I didn’t expect, either,” Joey says with a laugh. “Because we had a good first night, but… I don’t know why. Maybe the voodoo doll worked. But when I woke up the next morning, I was like, ‘Kelsey A. is the only one that’s on my mind right now.'”
