Easter services set for Bucks County churches. Where to celebrate

Holy Week ends Sunday with Easter for Christians around the world. Houses of worship in Bucks County will hold services and Masses for their congregations, and many are also inviting the public to join.

Here are some of the offerings for this holiday weekend:

Easter Sunday Sunrise service at Emilie United Methodist Church

Emilie United Baptist Church, at 7300 New Falls Road in Levittown, will end Lenten season with a 6 a.m. Sunrise Service in the church's cemetery.

The Sunrise Service will be followed by the Easter Sunday service at 10 a.m.

Emilie United Baptist Church also created an Easter Sunday Service event on its Facebook page.

Easter Sunday service at Bucks County Community Church

The Bucks County Community Church, at 1249 W. Maple Ave. in Langhorne, has three Easter Sunday service programs at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Two Easter Sunday services at Calvary Church

Calvary Church will host two Easter Sunday services at both of its locations: 50 E Paletown Road in Quakertown, and at 820 Route 113 in Souderton. Services begin at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and the services are open to the public.

"Joy is hard to find, but Jesus changes everything! Celebrate Easter with family and friends, and join us for a powerful service that explores the life-changing impact of Jesus’ death and resurrection," read a portion of Calvary Church's Easter celebration website. "We’ll see you Sun., March 31, at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. in Souderton, Quakertown, and online!"

St. Paul's Lutheran Church concludes Holy Week with three Easter Sunday services

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, at 301 North Main Street in Doylestown, will end its Holy Week with three Easter Sunday services at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

"Holy Week ends with the promise of new life, telling the story of Jesus' resurrection," said Pastor Thomas Rusert in a video promoting Holy Week events. "On Easter Day, the church is transformed with flowers; the music comes in pulling out all the stops with trumpets sounding and timpani rolling and the strong playing as well as we proclaim the hope of Christ, that Jesus Christ has risen today."

Living Hope Community Church hosts outdoor Easter Sunday services

The Living Hope Community Church will host outdoor Easter Sunday services at both of its campuses: 311 West State St. in Doylestown, and at 22 West Route 313 in Perkasie.

Easter Sunday services will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Doylestown, and at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Perkasie.
