There is no shortage of Easter, St. Patrick's Day and other events to check out this spring in Bucks County.

Here's the lineup of festivals and events worth your consideration.

Irish ball, dance, leads up Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The 34th annual Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebration kicks off with Irish Ball, which begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at the La Luna Banquet Hall, 4610 Bensalem Blvd. in Bensalem. The Broken Shilleaghs are the headline performers.

The Bucks County St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Saturday, March 16. The parade begins at Conwell Egan Catholic High School on Wistar Road, travels up New Falls Road and concluding at Levittown American Ball Field.

I.B.E.W. Local 269 Business Manager Steve Aldrich will serve as Grand Marshal.

The free "After-Parade Hoolie" will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Division 1, at 614 Corson St. in Bristol.

Easter Egg hunt, bonnet parade in Bensalem

Bensalem's Department of Parks and Recreation is staging an Easter egg hunt and bonnet parade at the Bensalem Muncipal Complex at 2400 Byberry Road on Saturday, March 16.

The Easter egg hunt runs from 10 a.m. to noon, and is for children 2 through 10, and parents will need to present proofs of age and residency for any participating children. Also, parents must send an e-mail to lwelsh@bensalempa.gov by Friday, March 8, to register.

There is no rain date. One overall winner will recieve a prize for the best and most creative Easter bonnet.

'Celebrate the Green' of St. Patrick's Day at Peddler's Village

Peddler's Village, the shopping district in Lahaska, is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with several "Celebrate the Green" events:

  • Peeps in the Village (March 11-24): "A highly anticipated event that showcases the creative talents of regional residents and the longstanding allure of the colorful candies," read Peddler's Village description. "You’ll see more than 130 marshmallow masterpieces (wall art, diorama, and sculpture) carefully crafted with bright bunnies and chicks in inspired, inventive settings."

  • Shake Your Shamrock Fun (11:45 a.m., Sunday, March 17): Scoogie Events is putting on its 11th annual 8k, 5k, little leprechaun 1/2 Mile kid’s run, and Pot o’ Gold 2 mile fun run/walk.

Peddler's Village will continue to cleebrate the season with the three Irish-themed comedy showcase "Comedy in the Village" on Friday, March 15; the "Whiskeys of the World" dinner, also March 15; and the "Village Pub Crawl" on Saturday, March 16.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day weekend at Dockside Bensalem

Dockside, at 1067 Totem Road, has a pair of events for St. Patrick's Day weekend.

On Saturday, March 16, you can "Brunch with the Easter Bunny." The event, which starts at 10 a.m., has complimentary drinks, crafts for children and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.

Then on Sunday, March 17, Dockside Bensalem will host a St. Patrick's Day brunch.

The brunch begins at 10 a.m., and reservations are required.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Upper Bucks County

The Upper Bucks Celtic Frestival will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, in the streets of downtown Perkasie.

More than 100 vendors will be on hand selling Irish goods and foods, and kilt design contests for adults and children, as well as a kids Irish costume contest. The times for these contests will be announced closer to the event.

Easter egg hunt at Goodnoe Elementary School in Newtown

The Easter Bunny kicks off the Rotary Club of Newtown's Easter egg hunt at Goodnoe Elementary School at 298 Frost Lane in Newtown and bunny photo opporotunities at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.

The Easter egg hunt begins at 9:15 a.m. Rain date in Saturday, March 30.

The Rotary Club of Newtown also created a Facebook calender event for the Easter egg hunt.

Sesame Place has kid-friendly activities and dining to celebrate Easter

Sesame Place is hosting both a donut-decorating session and a chance to dine with the Sesame Street crew.

"Cookie Monster's Donut Decorating" is available on select dates and tickets are $24.99.

"Join Cookie Monster, dressed in his adorable Easter attire, for a delightful donut-decorating experience. Each reservation includes one donut, icing, and sprinkles to decorate your masterpiece, and a delicious Snickerdoodle Sip served in a Cookie Monster souvenir cup," read a portion og Sesame Place's discription. "Cookie Monster himself will be available for cute and colorful photos to complete the experience."

Then, from March 23 through April 7, parents and their children can "Dine with Elmo and Friends."

"Book a special Easter Dine with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and the Easter Bunny," read Sesame Place's description. "Enjoy a delicious buffet meal, and photo opportunities with your favorite Sesame Street friends."

Park admission is required for "Dine with Elmo and Freinds," and you will also need to make a registration, which is an additional $39.99 per person.

Other Easter egg hunts, spring events in Bucks County

Here are some other Easter egg hunts in Bucks County:

  • St. Patrick's Day Celebration/Fundraiser: 5 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Station Taphouse, 194 W. Ashland St. in Doylestown. This is Bucks County Bar Association's annual event. Tickets are $75, which cover drinks, food and the live performance. Proceeds go towards the Thomas E. Mellon Jr. and William Penn Scholarships.

  • Easter breakfast and egg Hunt: 9 a.m. Sunday, March 10, at Newportville Fire Company Station 12, 2425 New Falls Road in Levittown. Admission is free for children under 2; $8 for children between the ages of 3 and 10; and $10 for children ten and older.

  • St. Patrick's Day Weekend in Newtown: Performances from Thurs., March 14 thorugh Sunday, March 17., at Newtown Brewing Company, 103 Penns Trail in Newtown. Rooster & The Chick will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday; an Irish dance performance begins at 5 pm. and followed by a performance by Matt Kresge at 6 p.m. on Friday; a magic show and performance by King Gyro will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday; and the "Eat This Jawn" foodtruck showcase begins at noon on Sunday.

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Redemption Episcopal Church: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Redemption Episcopal Church, 1101 2nd. Street Pike in Southampton. The frist hunt will begin at 10 a.m., and the second hunt will begin at 11. Tickets are $5.

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Krupp: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Krupp Memorial Park, 40 N. Main St. in Chalfont. The rain date is Saturday, March 23. "We will be dividing kids into age groups," read a portion of the event's description. "The groups will be 4 and under; 5 and 6; 7 and 8; and 9 and older. We will have beeping eggs for any visually impaired child. Please see a club member at the park prior to the start so that we can have your child participate using the eggs."

  • St. Patrick's Day performance by the Tullamore Crew: 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17, at Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, 909 Ray Ave. in Croydon. No cover.

  • St. Patrick's Day performance by The Seven Band: 3 p.m., Sunday, March 17, at The E-House, 2813 Hulmeville Road in Bensalem. No cover.

  • St. Patrick's Day performance by Midlife Crisis: 4 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at Sycamore Grill, 255 North Sycamore St., Newtown. Bucks County-based band Midlife Crisis will perform. No cover.

  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at North Branch Park, 207 Park Ave., Chalfont. A photo session with the Easter Bunny will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the Easter egg hunt will begin at 10. This is a free event, but and cash and non-perishable items will be accepted as donations, which will benefit the New Britain Food Pantry.

  • Wycombe Community Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the First Baptist Church of Wycombe, 4174 Township Line Road in Furlong. Organizers say this free event will also include food, crafts and face-painting.

  • Langhorne Borough Easter Egg Hunt: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Mayors Park, Maple Ave. and Route 413 in Langhorne. This Easter egg hunt is for children between the ages of 2 and 11. The rain date is Saturday, March 30.

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Styer Orchard: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Styer Orchard, 97 Styer Lane in Langhorne. Along with the egg hunt, there will also be arts and crafts photo opportunitties with the Easter Bunny. Lunch will be avialable for purchase from the Styer Market.

  • Fireside Easter Egg Hunt: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Fireside Inn, 237 Elmwood Ave. in Feasterville. Space is limited for this event, and it is suggested parents call the Fireside Inn at 215-357-9874 to reserve a spot.

  • Easter Egg Hunt and Obstacle Course: 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Core Creek Park Pavillion 10, 1610 Woodbourne Road in Langhorne. The event includes a quarter-mile run and obstacle course, along with an egg hunt. Tickets are $14, which will benefit the Fostering Hope Lower Bucks nonprofit.

  • Doylestown Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Broad Commons Park, 10 Doyle St., Doylestown. This free event also includes face-painting, children's activites and live music.

  • Richlandtown Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m., Saturday, March 30, at Benner Memorial Hall, 1260 E. Cherry Road, Richlandtown. This free event will also feature photo opportunities, games and food.

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Barn Nature Center: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Barn Nature Center, at 1283 Almshouse Road in Doylestown. "Along with the egg hunt, the Barn Nature Center will have live animals such as invertebrates, lizards, turtles and tortoises, snakes, and mammals for you to interact with," read the description of this event. "Houdini and Cappuccino, our rabbits, will also be out for the day to take pictures with you and your whole family. There will also be refreshments, crafts, and an egg decorating contest." Tickets are $15 per child and $10 per adult.

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Kidology Playspace: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Kidology Playspace, 928 Jaymor Road in Southampton. Along with the Easter egg hunt, there will also be photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, open play and snack for children. The Easter egg hunt is limited to 10 eggs per child, and tickets are $30.

  • Easter Morning Egg Hunt: 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at Ascention Lutheran Church, 900 Washington Crossing Road in Newtown. Asciention Lutheran Church will conclude its Easter service with the Easter egg hunt on its grounds.
