As previously reported, Ben was arrested in Monday's scenes during a birthday party he was throwing for his husband Callum.

Tuesday's episode, which is streaming now on BBC iPlayer, saw Ben interviewed down at the police station, where the severity of the situation began to hit home.

Ben initially tried to protest his innocence, while Callum fiercely defended him back at home as well.

With tensions between Ben's family at an all-time high, things got even worse when Lexi arrived home in the middle of the argument and demanded to know the truth.

As Lexi was informed about what was going on, Phil called on lawyer Ritchie Scott, hoping she'd be able to get Ben out of trouble.

Ritchie went to see Ben down at the station, but her visit didn't go exactly how he'd thought it would.

Ritchie was quick to spell out just how much trouble Ben was in, detailing all the evidence the police had on him. She explained he was potentially looking at a lengthy prison sentence in the US.

She then relayed this information to Ben's horrified family including Lexi, leaving them devastated.

The news hit Callum the hardest, as he'd been adamant up until that point that Ben was innocent.

Phil later took a call from Ben, who insisted he needed his dad's help as he couldn't be parted from Lexi. What will Ben ask Phil to do?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
