Driver dies in Three Mile Cross collision after losing control of car
A man has died and a teenager has been seriously injured in a traffic collision on the A33.
The incident happened at 16:06 BST on Saturday in Berkshire, between Three Mile Cross and the Wellington Country Park.
A black Astra and a blue VW Golf were both travelling south when the Astra lost control and crashed into trees.
Thames Valley Police has arrested two men and a woman in connection with the incident.
The driver's next of kin have been informed and are receiving support by officers.
The passenger of the vehicle, a girl in her late teens from Reading, suffered serious injuries.
The police said she remained in hospital "in a serious but stable condition".
The force believes that the Golf may have been travelling in convoy with the Astra.
Police said that it had briefly stopped before driving off from the scene of the crash.
Two men aged 26 and 34 from Basingstoke, and a woman aged 24 from Woking, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
They all remain in custody.
Insp Justin Thomas appealed to anyone who had seen either of the vehicles, or had information or dash-cam footage of the incident, to get in touch.
