Douglas Park dedicated at Party in the Park

Rock Island Parks and Recreation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Douglas Park.

Party in the Park celebrated the completion of renovations at Douglas done to the concession stand, press box and a new playground. There was face painting, bounce houses and yard games, along with free hotdogs. Kids played a game of kickball against Rock Island police officers, and even Our Quad Cities News Chief Meteorologist Andy McCray joined in on the fun.
