DJs bring tunes to Midstate polling locations

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Voting should be celebrated, so says a group of DJs who performed at polling places across the Commonwealth for the primary election.

DJ Gains Bond brought tunes to two polling places in the Midstate as part of DJs at the Polls. In the morning, he stopped by Edison Village in Harrisburg, before spending the rest of the day at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York.

DJs at the Polls began in 2008 in Philadelphia as a non-partisan, local initiative in southeastern Pennsylvania, launched by Anton Moore. It has since evolved into a national effort where they hope to energize and entertain voters.

Elsewhere in the state, DJs performed in Reading, the Lehigh Valley, Poconos, Erie, Chester, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia.
