Denver weather: Sunny, mild before end of weekend rain and snow
DENVER (KDVR) — The Front Range will enjoy sunny skies before a few clouds arrive by Friday afternoon with mild highs in the low 60s in the Denver weather forecast.
Weather today: Mainly sunny, comfortable
Denver keeps mainly sunny skies around for the first half of the day with some extra clouds in by the afternoon.
Colorado was almost named a made-up word
Highs in the metro will be in the low 60s as clouds build into the high country.
Weather tonight: Partly cloudy
Partly cloudy skies will stick around through Friday night with a light breeze picking up. Overnight lows will end up in the middle 30s as clouds hang out in the mountains.
Looking ahead: Changes on Sunday
Saturday will see partly cloudy skies along the Front Range as highs near 70 degrees. There will also be a brisk wind through the day as clouds increase in the higher elevations.
Snow will begin overnight and into Sunday for the mountains. Sunday has cloudy skies and cooler highs in the middle 50s.

Rain will begin in the metro in the late afternoon with a swap to snow after sunset. Snow looks to end by early Monday morning before sunrise.
Metro accumulations look minimal and there looks to be little impact.
The Palmer Divide could have a bigger impact with 2-5 inches, after some melting. Mountain towns could end up with 4-9 or more inches.
Roads could be slick for the Monday morning commute along the divide but will improve quickly.
Monday has highs in the low 40s with late clearing. Tuesday is back to partly to mostly sunny skies with cooler highs in the upper 40s. There’s a small chance for a sprinkle on Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday is mainly sunny with highs in the upper 50s. We’ll be in the low 60s on Thursday with partly cloudy skies.
