Denver weather: Breezy and warm before turning cooler with rain showers

​​​​​DENVER (KDVR) — A recent storm system that brought heavy mountain snow and rain showers in Denver weather and strong wind across the Eastern Plains is lifting away.

The region will get a break from the wet weather before those showers return for the later part of the week. According to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, temperatures will quickly warm on Wednesday before cooling again with the return of rain.

Weather tonight: Less windy and cool

It will be a mostly clear Tuesday night across Denver and the Front Range. A few light snow showers will still be possible across the northern mountains with light accumulation. The wind will be breezy at times overnight.

Temperatures will be cool again across the Eastern Plains with readings in the upper 30s and low 40s. It will be colder with overnight lows below freezing through parts of the Colorado high country.

Weather tomorrow: Breezy and warmer

There will be passing clouds on Wednesday across the state. A few showers will be possible in the mountains too. It will be breezy with a southwest wind up to 20-25 mph.

Temperatures will quickly warm into the 60s and 70s over the mountains and even warmer 70- to 80-degree ranges across the Eastern Plains and in metro Denver.

Looking ahead: Turning cooler with the return of showers

A couple of cold fronts will bring more clouds, breezy conditions, cooler temperatures and the return of spring showers.

There will be two waves. The first arrives very late on Wednesday into early on Thursday. There could be a rain-snow mix early Thursday before changing back to rain.

The second shot of showers will be on Friday into Saturday. There could also be a rain-snow mix early on Saturday before changing back to rain again. The forecast looks to turn dry early next week, and temperatures will warm back into the 70s.
