The National Weather Service issued a small craft advisory on Friday for coastal waters from Cape May, New Jersey, to Cape Henlopen and Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island.

Vessel operators on the water should beware of east winds between 10 knots and 15 knots and seas between 4 feet and 6 feet, which will be hazardous to small craft. The National Weather Service advises inexperienced mariners, especially those aboard smaller vessels, to avoid navigating in harsh conditions.

The advisory is in effect from around 3 a.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.
