Dairy Queen treats fans to free ice cream cones. When can you get one?

Fans of Dairy Queen can get a free treat on the first day of spring.

Free cone day returns Tuesday, March 19, and customers can receive a free small vanilla cone at participating Dairy Queen restaurants nationwide, according to the fast-food chain.

Free cones are limited to one per person, and no purchase is necessary — except at mall locations, the restaurant said in a news release.

“We’re inviting fans everywhere to grab their friends and families and get their ‘Treat Szn’ started with something sweet – on us!” Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing for Dairy Queen, said in the release.

The offer is available all day, while supplies last.

Delivery and mobile orders are excluded.
