CSPD: Two suspects arrested after stolen vehicle chase

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said two suspects have been arrested and a stolen vehicle was recovered after the suspects crashed during a short chase with police.

According to CSPD, on Monday, April 29 at around midnight, officers spotted a vehicle that was previously stolen during an armed carjacking on Saturday, April 27. Police said the vehicle was occupied by two suspects, later identified as 31-year-old Brian LeComte and 27-year-old Emilie Deering.

When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the suspects drove off and a short pursuit began.

Police said after the vehicle crashed in the 3100 block of East Bijou Street near North Circle Drive, both suspects ran from the area before they were quickly apprehended by officers.

LeComte and Deering were taken into custody for outstanding warrants, Vehicular Eluding, Motor Vehicle Theft, Robbery, and Menacing, according to police.
