CSPD looking for additional sexual assault victims

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Crimes Against Children Unit is looking for additional victims connected to an individual who is accused of Burglary and Unlawful Sexual Contact.

On April 5 at 10 p.m., officers were called to a home for a burglary call in the Briargate area near Wimbleton Court and Lexington Drive. An unknown man, identified as 31-year-old Cole Cordova by police allegedly entered the home through an unlocked basement door while the family was home and exposed himself to a minor, then left the area. Cordova was arrested on April 11 by CSPD.

According to CSPD, on Friday, April 12, Cordova was served and released on the charges of Unlawful Sexual Contact for one incident that happened on Saturday, April 6 in the Briargate Parkway and Union Boulevard area. There is an investigation into a second incident that allegedly happened on the same day and in the same area and CSPD believes there are more that have not been reported.

Police are looking for victims of incidents where a man with dark hair approached them, made unwanted advances, or directed obscene language to them in or around the northeast side of Colorado Springs, specifically around the Briargate Parkway, Union Boulevard, and Chapel Hills Drive areas.

Cordova’s photo is not being released by CSPD at this time.
