Crop-duster hits power lines in Sumner County

SUMNER COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A crop-dusting pilot landed his plane safely after the plane hit some power lines in Sumner County, the Kansas Highway Patrol says.

The KHP said the plane damaged several lines in the 400 block of N. Hydraulic, several miles south of Belle Plaine, around 10:40 a.m. on Thursday.

The pilot, a 48-year-old man from Caldwell, Texas, was flying a 1998 Air Tractor AT-602 crop-duster.
